PL-259 Lightning Surge Protector UHF Lightning Arrestor PL259 Female to SO239 Female Bulkhead for CB Ham Base Antennas (UHF Female to Female Lightning arrestor)

It is a coaxial UHF Lightning Protector that operates over the frequency range of DC-1 GHz. It uses a 90V gas discharge tube to shunt electrical surges and transients to ground, protecting sensitive communications equipment from these events.

This model features PL259(UHF female) TO SO239 Socket(UHF Female) for mounting through an enclosure wall or the arrestor can be used inline.
SO239 259 arrester will pass DC,so SO-239 surge protector is suitable for applications where DC is carried through the coax cable. Both UHF connector ports of this unit are equally protected -- it can be installed in either orientation.
A ground lug and terminal on the housing provide superior grounding.
